About Us

The Texas A&M University Geo-Institute Chapter has been formed to provide students and the local community with a fraternal organization for broadening technical knowledge through regular seminars by visiting academics and practitioners, and building up a strong network between its student members and industry professionals. With the aim of being a portal for students to gain access to the most up-to-date knowledge of practice and cutting-edge research in the field of Geotechnical Engineering, it also strives to be a platform for the exchange and dissemination of knowledge, while acting as a link between the industry, the academia and the students. Connectivity between members is regularly encouraged through social events and group activities. Through these efforts, it seeks to provide a better engineering experience for the Geotechnical graduate students at Texas A&M University.
